There is a bit of noise, about the same amount as a typical home PC. But if you are on a budget and don’t mind a slight hum in the background then this hard drive recorder is perfect for you.

Its a pretty complex hard drive recorder. It comes jammed with many features but it still is pretty easy to set up initially as hard drive recorders go. It will auto-tune itself to freeview channels if you follow the manual. Picture and sound quality of this hard drive recorder is nothing short of brilliant. The price tag is a bit steep but you are getting a quality machine.

Steer clear of this hard drive recorder. Its noisy and the navigation through the settings is slow to respond to commands. The playback with certain media formats is not the best either. In short there are hard drive recorders out there for the same price which are a safer bet.
